Carol is the wife of Jim, mother of Aaron and proud grandmother of two-year-old, Georgia Rose. She lives on Jim’s family’s fruit farm and loves all types of gardening, knitting, crocheting and reading when she’s not at work directing the Amherst Township Senior Service Office. Carol is a certified Medicare counselor with the Ohio Department of Insurance’s Ohio Senior Health Insurance Information Program and also serves as the Lorain County coordinator for the program as well as on the program’s state advisory board.
Carol has been active in many phases of church work over the years. She has worked with children and youth in Sunday School, Methodist Youth Fellowship, Confirmation, Vacation Bible School, and the Pioneer Girls Program and has served on the Parent Teacher Fellowship and School Board of Open Door Christian Schools. She has also taught adult Sunday School classes and lead ladies Bible study discussion groups as well as discipleship, care, and community groups. Carol has been a member-at-large on the church board and an at-large delegate to annual conference. She also is on the conference Older Adult Ministries Task Force and is currently working with the conference Church & Society Committee on poverty issues faced by the elderly.
