Single Again Fellowship
This group was started to address a growing need in our congregation. Approximately 25 % of our adult members are single by choice or due to death or divorce of a spouse. Our first meeting was held in early December 2009 and Pastor Dan Reinke from the Amherst Methodist church presented a program on how to deal with grief. Those present decided that they would like to continue meeting on a bi-monthly basis for lunch. Our second event, a Share-a-Hug luncheon, was held in February at Bob Evans Restaurant in Amherst. Each one present brought a hug to share with a new friend. The next event will be in mid-April as we travel to Wesleyan Village in Elyria to have lunch with former church member, Carolyn Holcomb.
